Kids are back in school and it’s starting to get a little quiet around Panama City Beach. This is also a great time to visit if you’re planning a trip here. The weather is literally around 78° to 84° daily with very little precipitation and only cools down to about 60° to 64° in the evenings. This is a great temperature to cool off and yet it’s not so hot in the daytime. You can still enjoy the beautiful weather, the beach, the sun, the pool in the ocean in this nice hot weather and yet cool enough in the evening that you might need a light jacket or sweater. This is perfect for hanging out on the beach until late, stopping in at Pineapple Willy’s for a drink or dinner on their open deck overlooking the water and enjoying the beautiful sunset, or finding something else fun to do in one of the many nightlife entertainment options throughout Panama City Beach.
Precipitation is almost null and void in October even though towards the end of October things are starting to get a little more misty from time to time.
With the weather almost perfect there are many opportunities to enjoy festivals and events throughout Panama City Beach in October.
For starters, enjoy the Bloody Mary & Music Festival starting on October 1 at 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM. This is located at Treasure Island Marina and it’s a great event for you can sample Bloody Marys from over 25 different bars and restaurants around the area. There’s a full bar and food available. Military and first responders get a five dollar discount and admission is $20 per person. This price includes the choice of unlimited sampling of blood he marries her to free drink vouchers. On October 4 you can enjoy Dinner at the Beach setting at 5:00 PM at the Spinnaker Beach Club. This benefits beach care services and they’ll be a silent auction, raffle tickets and door prizes.
On October 7 at 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM is the Friday Fest. This is one of the county’s largest street festivals with over 200 show cause, 50 vendors and lots of live music on several stages. This is located in downtown Panama City, just a few miles away from Panama City Beach. Many local shops and restaurants will stay open late as the festivities run until 10 PM.
On October 7 through October 9 you can enjoy Pirates of the High Seas Festival. On Columbus Day weekend, enjoy this free festival taking pilot fun to a whole new level. This is fun for the entire family and includes a scavenger hunt, kids parade, live music, general parade and fireworks. It’s located at Pier Park in Panama City Beach.
October 19 through the 23rd is our 16th Annual Thunder Beach Autumn Rally. This is one of Panama City Beach’s most famous and well-attended events. Bikers from all over the country will enjoy a beautiful scenic ride along the Emerald Coast with dozens of entertainment options, contests, discounts on food, fun and activities. It’s certainly something not to miss if you love motorcycles at all. The event is happening all throughout Panama City Beach and just about every restaurant or business participate in some form or fashion.
Bowl for Kid’s Sake is happening on October 29 from of the Big Brothers and Big Sisters. This national fundraiser and is a fun and easy way to impact a child’s life. This is happening at Rock it Lanes and is a great way to get involved in the community.
